Late For Dinner
Happy Canada Day/Fourth of July everyone! It’s festival season in Montréal and I think the alcohol-rich atmosphere may have inspired today’s comic.
In other news, I’ve been getting a lot of mail from new readers, which is always great. And if you haven’t seen my pal Ramón Pérez’s ‘kukuburi‘ strip this week, go and check it out for a wicked Charles Christopher cameo!
Hint: it’s impossible to miss.

thanks for the plug, hombre :)
why does the blue jay’s voice sound like cliff claven? i love how you embed the creatures of what i like to call “the green forest” with such human personalities and quirks. i can always see a little bit of myself in these denizens…

Just the kind of days I’ve been having, lately… What the hell WAS that thing I needed to do??!! Dammit.
I love this poor, hen-pecked bird. Cheers.

I like his eyes… So bulgy… Feels like I could reach out and squish them a little. Huh. Well, they DO look like a set of b00bies!

This strip, as good as it is, intrudes overmuch on my comfort zone- those of us with ADHD know all too well the desperation behind the bird’s expressions in panels 3/4 (irrespective of alcohol intake!) What WAS it I was supposed to remember??!!!? Damn! Just like the bird’s desk in the strip Shoe- piled high with paper. Comix are at their best when the fantastical braids into the ordinary and commonplace.
Nice work, as usual.

This web comic is my absolute favorite.
I’m sure you have heard it a million times before, but you are a phenomenal artist.
I just wanna hug Charles. He looks so big and soft and huggable. >__<
Can’t wait for more installments.

I’ve just finished reading the archives, and just like pretty much everyone who posts in these comments(yes I’ve read the archived comments as well) I have to say what a masterpiece this comic is
ACC is definitely one of my favorite web comics ever.
you’ve made one of those rare comics that truly goes beyond being “entertainment” to become real Art.
both the story telling and artwork are touching and beautiful. not to mention the fact that it regularly makes me laugh out loud(dancing bee was my favorite comic so far)
I think Abominable Charles Christopher has the makings of a New-Classic fairytale.
I look forward to seeing where it all goes, and hope you continue taking your time and letting the story evolve naturally with plenty of quirky woodland creature humor along the way.
Thanks for the great work
